Since a young age, I’ve followed my passions and found ways to make them profitable.

To me, my business is like a game. Some people study golf. I study investing and business. Doing what you’re passionate about is an important ingredient in happiness. And it’s wonderful when you can get paid well for doing what you’re passionate about.
But why passion? It’s simple:
  • Passion gives you the drive to go on
  • Passion pushes you to learn more
  • Passion is infectious to others
  • Passion makes life more fun
  • Passion is the beginning of success
Is investing in real estate your passion, but you haven’t started because you don’t know where to begin?
I have the perfect gift for you...
For me, investing in real estate was a topic I first learned about from my rich dad and I knew at a young age that I wanted to make this a part of my wealth-building strategy. It all started when I found a tiny, one-bedroom, one-bath condo in Lahaina, Maui, the world famous beach resort. The condo was priced at $18,000. Not having any money, I used my credit card to finance the 10 percent down payment of $1,800.

In other words, I used 100 percent debt to buy the property. Even though I was leveraged 100 percent, which I do not recommend even though I did it, I was netting approximately $20 a month positive cash flow after all expenses and debt were paid. At the age of 27, I owned a condo in Waikiki, in which I lived, and a condo in Lahaina, which I rented. My real estate investing career was launched.
If investing in real estate is truly a passion, keep moving forward, first with little steps, small investments, and then progress to bigger steps. As your experience and confidence grow with each success-and yes, even with the setbacks-you will get closer and closer to that big goal because you had passion.
